Meet the creators of BTBW - the Musical

                        

Laurie G. Adams (Playwright) is an English teacher and drama director in a middle school in CT. She has directed more than a dozen musical productions in her career. In 1991 she was honored as Teacher of the Year in her school system. In addition to teaching English, she is a published freelance writer. She is a member of the national writing organizations IWWG (International Women's Writing Guild) and RWA (Romance Writers of America).  Her membership in ASCAP is in the works.  In May 2007 Laurie was honored by the organization Friends of Glastonbury Youth (FOGY) with a Distinguished Service Award for directing many productions at her school and also for writing and producing Behind the Bedroom Wall - The Musical.

Joan Burr (Composer) has been music director for more than 25 musical theater productions in schools and community theaters throughout Connecticut. In addition to teaching music in the public schools, where she was named Teacher of the Year in 2003, she composes for and conducts children's choruses. She is a member of MENC (Music Educators' National Conference) and ACDA (American Choral Directors Association).  Her membership in ASCAP is in the works.  In May 2007 Joan was honored by the organization Friends of Glastonbury Youth (FOGY) with a Distinguished Service Award for her involvement as musical director for many productions at her school and with community theater groups and also for composing the music for and helping produce Behind the Bedroom Wall - The Musical.

Laura E. Williams (Playwright)  is a high school English teacher where she gathers scads of interesting and up-to-date information for her young adult and middle school novels. With over 30 children's books published, Laura is thrilled to be expanding into the realm of musical theatre. As a child she enjoyed the excitement of performing as a member of the Honolulu Children's Opera Chorus with professional appearances on television and on stage in Aida and Joan of Arc.
